Day 1 of 114

I have 114 days until my 40th Birthday.  I officially began working with my personal trainer this morning at 9:00AM.  I have 60 pounds total to lose.  My first step is a complete overhaul of my diet.  I will be eating quality proteins and greens exclusively.  I am adding Chlorella and Probiotics for the first time.  I will also be taking a multivitamin, tumeric, flaxseed oil, and Vitamin D-3.  I will be drinking only water, coffee, and tea.  Sugar, in all it's forms is enemy number one.  I plan to take some measurements today so that I can track my progress in inches as well as pounds.  I have a hip injury(bone spur + labral tear), knee injury(jumpers knee), leg length discrepancy(likely due to injuries not actual discrepancy), fatigue, depression, and trouble sleeping.  I hope to remedy most of these issues through proper diet and exercise, and of course determination.  I plan to use this blog to document my progress, trials, and success.  I have been teaching group exercise for 20 years.  I've never been in this much pain.  Life has dealt me some tough blows, and I think my mind has most to do with my bodies reaction.  My Dad had a massive heart attack and died in my arms ten years ago, my Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease two years ago, and now has a severe MRSA infection.  The stress has been intense.  But, ultimately it fuels my fight to live a happy, active, vibrant life.  Last night I had a dream that I was dancing again.  Really dancing.  I want to make that dream a reality, and it starts today.  Let's Go!
